Interesting read.  I think your logic is sound, but you are missing the boat when it comes to acronyms.  What on earth is a UUM or UUMR?  Clearly a cool sounding acronym is needed!   I suggest replacing &quot;Use Understood Methods&quot; (UUM) with &quot;Apply Reliable Methods Only Rule&quot; (ARMOR).  It is a fitting acronym because you are protecting yourself from bad code. =)
